Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming cybersecurity by delivering enhanced capabilities for defending against ever developing cyber threats. As fraudsters develop advanced strategies, enterprises must use AI-powered solutions to remain ahead. AI has the ability to handle massive volumes of data at unprecedented speeds, allowing cybersecurity systems to evaluate large-scale data sets created by network traffic, user activity, and system logs to detect possible threats. Traditional methods do not succeed to handle the massive amount and depth of this data, leading to delay or missing threat detection. Machine learning (ML), a kind of artificial intelligence, is particularly capable of identifying earlier unidentified threats, sometimes referred to as zero-day attacks. Traditional signatures solutions, like antiviral software, rely on databases that contain known risks and have no ability to identify new, sophisticated attacks. The ability of artificial intelligence to learn from previously collected information helps it to identify unforeseen trends in the network’s communications or user actions that might indicate an approaching risk, giving another level of protection.AI improves the automation of threat identification and incident response. As cyberattacks become more frequent and complicated; it’s manually reacting to every single alert or the case can overload cybersecurity workforce. Systems powered by AI can categorize risks based to their level of seriousness, enabling teams to focus on the most significant issues. Artificial intelligence (AI) technology may also respond automatically to certain forms of attacks like disconnecting compromised devices or blocking suspected communication. But the use of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity faces obstacles. A major problem is the rise of competition AI, which allows attackers to create more complex attacks. With these drawbacks, the application of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity has grown more essential. The use of AI into cybersecurity strategies provides an opportunity to offer quicker, flexible, and affordable security ways. As cyber-attacks grow, AI is going to have a more significant part in improving industries’ defences, decreasing response times, and providing better security against an increasing variety of cybercrimes.
