About this book

This edited book collects the papers presented at the National Conference on Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence, organised by the School of Law, Rai University, Ahmedabad, in collaboration with the Centre for Legal Research and Studies (CLRS), VidhiAagaz. Its cover records its former name, Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence: Emerging Trends.

Its forty-nine chapters ask how the law should respond to cybercrime and to the spread of artificial intelligence. They cover cross-border data transfers and financial fraud, jurisdiction in virtual worlds and the metaverse, deepfakes and online gender-based violence, crimes against children and other vulnerable groups, the police in digital investigations, AI in courts and criminal justice, copyright and patents, and the draft UN Convention on Cybercrime.

The Editorial Board also included Mr. Dinesh Kumar Mishra and Ms. Prachi Tripathi, Assistant Professors at the School of Law, Rai University, Ahmedabad, and Adv. Aishwarya Gupta, Editorial Head of CLRS, VidhiAagaz.

The book is free to read online, in full or chapter by chapter. Print copies can be ordered from VidhiAagaz.
