Abstract
This paper explores the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technology in the biotechnology sector, focusing on their implications for patent law and cybersecurity in India and the USA. As AI drives innovation in biotechnology, it poses significant challenges to existing patent frameworks, particularly concerning issues of inventorship, patentability, and intellectual property rights. Concurrently, blockchain technology offers promising solutions for enhancing transparency, security, and efficiency in patent filing and data management processes. This study conducts a comparative analysis of the legal and regulatory landscapes in India and the USA, examining how each country addresses the intersection of these emerging technologies. Additionally, it evaluates the cybersecurity risks associated with the adoption of AI and blockchain in biotechnology, highlighting vulnerabilities and potential mitigation strategies. Ultimately, this research aims to provide insights for policymakers and industry stakeholders, emphasizing the need for adaptive legal frameworks that can accommodate the rapid evolution of technology in the biotechnology field.
